Mahjong Station Mazin was a launch title for the Japanese launch of the Sony PlayStation in 1994. This particular example is a “promotional” copy, meant for reviewers and other game industry people. The packaging and contents are all identical to the retail copy with two key differences. First is the white “SAMPLE” stamped into the inner ring of the disc. Second is orange sticker on the back which warns that the promotional disc is not allowed to be distributed to any third party.
While uncommon, the game does have a bug that will display a fifth copy of a single tile. However, this is a graphical error, not a game logic error. If the tile can be called (in a pon or chii, for example), the tile will change back to it’s correct texture.
